"I have a lot of acne scarring, and still deal with acne, even at 31 years old. No make up could ever hide the scarring, but this came closer than anything I have ever used. I have used countless foundations, concealers, nothing has worked. They looked cakey, like I had a ton of make up on, and sometimes I did trying to hide all the scars!
I tried another company's mineral makeup, it was also said to be all pure, but it looked cakey. Signature Minerals is the best mineral make up I have used. |
It took me years to figure out that its more than just changing what you wash your face with to fix acne, and more than changing makeup. I went all-natural in my cleaners a few times over the 17 years of dealing with this, but didn't go all natural in my makeup. So I would keep changing cleansers, while sticking with the same store-bought foundations filled with harmful ingredients, not realizing what I was putting on my skin.
Of course you always know if you want the acne to heal its best to use NO makeup, but who would want to go out in public with a face that looked like mine? Sure I could distract by wearing lipstick and eye shadow, but no foundation, but I still felt too self-conscious to go out without foundation. I started tanning, and it helped hide scars, so I could go out occasionally without foundation, but still never saw much improvement in my acne because I was still using store-bought cleansers.
Also with Signature Minerals, I found a foundation color that EXACTLY matches my current skin tone, something I have never, ever, been able to do with any other makeup. You just deal with something that's as close as you can find and hope for the best! Seeing as I tan, my color does change, but the color it is now is the color it should stay, assuming I maintain my tan, so 8.3 is my shade! 5.3 looks like it would be great if I fade a little bit.
I did have to retouch later in the day, around 8pm, as it got a bit shiny, I do have oily skin, but I just put on more tawny finishing veil and the shine was gone. With other makeups, by 8pm the foundation was completely worn off in places, and a pass by a mirror was nothing short of horrfying.
In the before pictures, my acne has already gotten much better. Yes, it looked much worse. I have been back on all natural cleansers for several months now, just started using mineral makeup this past week. What a difference already!
I did try your concealor, but I guess I didnt do it right as I put it over too big an area of my face then the makeup ending up looking like the wrong shade for my skin. I will have to try again by putting tiny amounts on the imperfection only. But just the foundation alone works great!
I got my mom and my roommate onto your makeup, and I have told all my female friends on Facebook about you!
