  • A. No, you did not receive the wrong size. I know this is confusing for some people, so hopefully this will help things make sense... Throughout our website, our mineral makeup sizes are described by both Jar Size and Net Weight.
    
    Jar Size. Although jar size is not a measurement, many people visualize mineral makeup according to jar size. For the convenience of these customers, we list jar size (along with the net wt.) throughout the website.
    
    Net Weight. Net Weight is the most important measurement and is the measurement listed on your product container. Net Wt. tells you the actual amount of minerals you are getting.

    Our 5g petite jar contains 1.5g net wt.
    Petites and Small eye colors come in this size.
    
    Our 10g jar contains 3g net wt.
    Full size eye colors and Small size foundations, veils, bronzers/blushes,concealers/correctors come in this size.
    
    Our 20g jar contains 6g net wt.
    Full size blushes/bronzers, veils, concealers/correctors come in this size.
    
    Our 30g jar contains 10g net wt.
    Full size Foundations come in this size.
    
    Our samples come in 5g jars containing aprox. 1g net wt.

    Again, the Net Wt. is the most important measurement: this is what you will see on your container AND tells you the actual amount of minerals you are getting.

    **As noted above, net weight is the measurement that describes the actual amount of minerals you are getting. When comparing sizes from one brand to the next, always look at the Net Weight.

    Just in case you're wondering, the difference in net weight is NOT because Signature Minerals is heavier makeup - it isn't heavier at all - Signature Minerals makeup is light as a feather. The huge difference in net weight is simply due to the fact that Signature Minerals puts much more mineral makeup in the jars than Bare Escentuals does.
